I am a Las Vegas native, graduate of Bishop Gorman High School (the old campus, for those in the know), and JD/MBA alum of UNLV. I have attended practically every rubber chicken lunch this city had to offer as I built Bongiovi Law Firm, founded in 2008. For anyone keeping track, 2008 was a GREAT time to start a small business working with small businesses, at probably the lowest point in the Great Recession, in the hardest hit community in the nation. "Nowhere to go from there but up," I always said. And "up" we have gone. Having built momentum in my practice, I turned my attention to serving my community and often can't say "no" to board service. I've served on the UNLV Alumni Association Legacy Board, on the advisory boards for UNLV's Honors College and Lee Business School, as the Chair of Vegas Young Professionals (though I've aged out), the 2021 Chair of the Vegas Chamber Board of Trustees, and continue to serve on the Vegas Chamber's Executive Committee and Government Affairs Committee, the Nevada Small Business Development Center Board, Workforce Connections, Battle Born Growth Escalator, and now, BioTech Vegas. While I may not be in healthcare or hold myself out as a healthcare lawyer, I have made great connections in this community and, not to fail my half-Italian heritage, I always "got a guy." I'm excited to be part of BioTech Vegas and hope to help build bridges and take down silos.
