Bio
Elissa Coambs is a program and project management professional with over six years of experience supporting complex initiatives at the intersection of neuroscience, healthcare, and innovation. She currently serves as a Project/Research Manager at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Department of Brain Health, where she helps coordinate federally funded programs focused on advancing Alzheimer’s disease research, biomarker development, and brain health innovation.
Elissa’s work centers on translating ambitious scientific goals into structured, collaborative programs. She manages cross-functional initiatives involving academic investigators, industry partners, and community stakeholders, helping ensure that research and innovation programs move from concept to execution. Her experience spans grant coordination, project management, stakeholder engagement, and large-scale program planning.
In addition to her work in academic research, Elissa is passionate about building stronger connections between science, healthcare, and the broader community. Through her involvement with BiotechVegas, she is particularly interested in fostering collaboration across the region’s growing life sciences and biotechnology ecosystems.
